Central Vision Optometry’s Tui Homer (nee Russell) was Taranaki born and raised. She became a qualified Optometrist via studies at the University of Auckland. Over her years of study and training, she gained a Bachelor of Optometry with Honours. Moving forward, she then went on extramurally, to gain a certificate in Ocular Therapeutics. This qualification allows Tui the rights to prescribe eye medication, and treat anterior segment disease.
Tui’s other passions, when not in the consulting rooms at Wanaka Lakes Health Centre, include mountain biking along the beautiful Wanaka trails, snowboarding the local mountains, and the occasional (humorous) attempt at long course triathlon.
Tui’s love for Wanaka and it’s people budded in 2007 when she moved here for a winter and has been here ever since.
