The people that make up our Wanaka team:
Position: Practice manager and Optical Assistant
Jan moved from Southland to Wanaka in 2013 and has been at Central Vision Optometry ever since. She has been working in optics for over a decade so brings a wealth of knowledge to draw from.
Jan is our chief optical assistant, and keeps an ear to the ground for the latest frames styles and trends. She loves to find the right frame to suit your face and personality, and knows that the right pair of glasses can enhance your look. Jan is also a contact lens technician, teaching patients to insert and remove their contacts with the patience of a Saint.
Jan enjoys boating on our beautiful lake, golf, and spending time with her wonderful family.
Position: Accounts Manager and Optical Assistant
Lisa joined the Central Vision team in 2014 and quickly became an integral cog that keeps the wheels turning from her wee office, and out on the shop floor helping you choose specs. Lisa has a background in caring for the elderly and has also owned her own businesses in the past. She enjoys working with people and goes out of her way to make sure you are well looked after.
Aside from paperwork, Lisa enjoys helping you select the frames and lenses that best suit you.
Outside of work, Lisa loves to travel and go walking in the great outdoors, and has a new found love of paddle boarding.
Sally has been part of the Central Vision Optometry team since 2016. She moved from Christchurch with her husband for the “Wanaka lifestyle” and has never looked back.
Sally is relatively new to optics but has taken to it like a duck to water, and has a background working in medical practices so has fitted in perfectly as part of the team.
Already a keen trial runner, Sally has recently taken up triathlon and enjoys training in our wonderful environment, and competing in a range of events in the area.
